Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 tsp dry active yeast 1 packet
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3-3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • To make this pizza dough combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl. Allow yeast to soften for about 5 minutes.
1 tbsp sugar, 1 1/2 cup warm water, 2 1/4 tsp dry active yeast
  • In a medium large bowl combine the salt and 2 cups of flour.
    3-3 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp salt
  • Once the yeast has softened add the yeast/water mixture to the flour mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Once the water mixture and the flour mixture are combined the dough will be wet and sticky. Add in your olive oil. Mix to combine.
    2 tbsp olive oil
  • Slowly add the last cup to cup and a half of the flour until the dough doesn’t stick to the sides of the bowl if using an electric mixer or the dough doesn’t stick to your hands.
  • Place dough in the bowl and cover. Allow dough to rise for 2 hours or until it’s doubled in size.
  • You can use this dough to make pizza or garlic knots.

Notes

You can make this the day before and place it in the fridge overnight. Take the dough out of the fridge 30 minutes before preparing the dough.
