I don’t know about you but I love ice cream! This chocolate peanut butter smoothie bowl is one of those recipes that will curve ice cream and chocolate cravings!

When I sit down to enjoy this smoothie bowl it doesn’t taste like it’s good for you! It’s decadent, perfectly sweet, and pretty filling! Filled with only whole-food plant-based ingredients you don’t have to worry about eating this!

Typically I share not-so-good-for-you recipes like double chocolate chip cookies or chocolate cake that while are completely vegan (and delicious), they do have refined sugar and oil.

This recipe takes less than 10 minutes to whip up, can be made raw vegan, and super easy to customize.

Ingredients to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

This 7-ingredient smoothie bowl is easy to whip up. Here are the ingredients to make this chocolate peanut butter smoothie bowl:

  • Dates
  • Cacao Powder (you can substitute with cocoa powder)
  • Plant-Based Milk (if making raw sub with water or homemade plant milk)
  • Peanut Butter (if making raw sub with raw almond butter)
  • Vanilla Extract (you can sub vanilla powder or vanilla bean)
  • Frozen Bananas
  • Cacao Nibs (optional)

How to Make this Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

This is basically a dump-and-go recipe. It’s very straightforward and quickly whipped up. Here’s how to make this vegan smoothie bowl:

Add ingredients for chocolate peanut butter smoothie in a blender.
Add all ingredients to the blender except for the cacao nibs.
Blend chocolate peanut butter smoothie ingredients in a blender until smoothi.
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Pour into a bowl or glass and enjoy!

How to Make this Raw Vegan

You can easily make this a raw vegan smoothie bowl. Here are a few swap outs:

  • Replace peanut butter with raw almond butter
  • Use homemade plant milk or use coconut water or water
  • Vanilla extract can be replaced with scrapping vanilla beans or raw vanilla powder

Equipment

  • 1 High speed blender

Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium Frozen Bananas
  • 2 tbsp Cacao Powder You can sub cocoa powder
  • 5 medium Dates Pitted
  • 1/2 cup Plant Milk I used soy milk
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract You can sub with vanilla powder or vanilla bean
  • 1/4 cup Peanut Butter Sub with almond butter or sun butter
  • 2 tbsp Cacao Nibs Optional

Instructions

  • Add the frozen bananas, cacao powder, pitted dates, plant milk, peanut butter, and vanilla extract to a blender.
    3 medium Frozen Bananas, 2 tbsp Cacao Powder, 5 medium Dates, 1/2 cup Plant Milk, 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract, 1/4 cup Peanut Butter
  • Blend until nice and smooth. You may need to use the tamper to allow this to blend until smooth.
  • Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with cacao nibs and your favorite toppings. See notes for topping ideas
    2 tbsp Cacao Nibs

Notes

Top with:
  • Sliced bananas
  • Drizzle peanut butter
  • Cacao Nibs
  • Chocolate rawnola
  • Vegan Chocolate Chips
