You may already know this about me but I love desserts! The more chocolate the better. I mean come on what’s better than a warm fudgy brownie a double chocolate chip cookie?

This vegan chocolate sorbet recipe is so easy to make. It’s one of those you can make the night before and wake up with freshly frozen sorbet to enjoy. If you have an ice cream maker I’ve included instructions on that below!

Ingredients to Make Vegan Chocolate Sorbet

This recipe couldn’t be easier to make. All you need are 4 common pantry staple ingredients and water to make this sorbet! Here’s everything you’ll need:

  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Vegan Chocolate Chips

How to Make Vegan Chocolate Sorbet

This recipe comes together in just 10 minutes. It couldn’t be easier. Check out the recipe card below for more detailed instructions. Here’s how to make this vegan chocolate sorbet:

How long with this sorbet last?

This vegan chocolate sorbet lasts for up to 4 months covered in the freezer.

Why do you keep the sorbet covered?

Keeping the sorbet covered in the freezer with help prevent it from drying out and crystalizing in the freezer.

Can you make this in an ice-cream maker?

Yes! This is made easily in an ice-cream maker. Make sure the ice-cream bowl is completely frozen. Pour the contents into the maker and set it for 25 minutes or follow the instructions on your machine.

How to serve the vegan chocolate sorbet?

You can serve the sorbet in a bowl or in a vegan ice cream cone. Top with chopped nuts, fruit, or more vegan chocolate chips.

Can I make this a sundae?

Yes! I love to serve this with some of my favorite vegan desserts like vegan chocolate chip cookies, vegan double chocolate chip cookies, or even my vegan fudgy brownies.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 cups Water
  • 3/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients except water in a sauce pan
    1 cup Sugar, 3/4 cup Cocoa Powder, 1 tbsp Vanilla, 1/2 cup Vegan Chocolate Chips
  • Add water and whisk until combined
    3 cups Water
  • Bring the saucepan over the stove to medium heat. Simmer until ingredients have dissolved.
  • Pour mixture in a parchment lined 8 inch loaf pan.
  • Plan pan in freezer for at least 6 hours, or until the vegan sorbet has completely hardened.

Notes

Keep the vegan chocolate sorbet covered in the freezer for up to 4 months/
Add some chocolate chips or fruit before serving.
You an make the sorbet using an ice-cream machine if desired. Just follow the machine instructions.
This sorbet is light, sweet, and very chocolaty in the end. Enjoy the sorbet in a cup or in a vegan cone.

    What would summer be like without a frozen treat of this kind. Even though I haven’t
    eaten a great deal of sorbet this recipe has all the ingredients that make me want to try it.
    It has lots of chocolate of various kinds, some sweetness and some flavoring.
    I am eager to try it. I like the fact you don’t need an ice cream maker to whip up a batch either.
